Plastic free tea bags for brewing the perfect cuppa!

Did you know that most disposable teabags are made from plastic? Some look like they are paper based but actually contain plastic. Others are pure plastic and have a noticeable synthetic sheen to them.

Plastic in our teabags means plastic in our cup of tea and plastic in our compost if that's where the teabags have been going. Personally, we avoid teabags due to their negative health impacts and the impact that the plastic will have on our environment.

This set of 4 reusable tea bags are the perfect solution! You get to blend your perfect cup of tea from your favourite selection of loose leaves, that could be traditional tea, herbal tea or a combination of both. They are perfect for filling in advance and taking with you to work, on day trips, tramping, basically everywhere you go!

Making the switch to reusable tea bags is easy, will be cheaper in the long run and so much better for your health and our environment, oh and your tea will taste delicious without all that plastic!

A study published in the American Chemical Society’s Journal of Environmental Science and Technology found that steeping a single plastic tea bag at brewing temperature (95 °C) releases about 11.6 billion minuscule particles known as “microplastics” and 3.1 billion even smaller “nanoplastics” into each cup.
