A natural bamboo toothbrush that's good for your teeth and great for our planet!
Dentists recommend changing your toothbrush every 3 months. You can save four plastic toothbrushes (and all their plastic packaging) from ending up in landfill each year by making the switch to a bamboo toothbrush today. Available in both adult and child sizes.
Materials:
- Bristle - made from nylon which can be removed from the handle for recycling.
- Handle - made from sustainable bamboo which is biodegradable and can be composted in your home compost system. Check with your local council if you can put it in your organics bin.
We recommend replacing your bamboo toothbrush every 2 to 3 months.
Designed in Gisborne, New Zealand.
Why bamboo?
Bamboo is sustainable as it is one of the fastest growing plants in the world (some species grow at a rate of 1mm every 90 seconds!) and it is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilisers.
Did you know ... ?
The toothbrush as we know it today was invented in China in the 15th Century when animal hair bristles were attached to a bone or bamboo handle. From the early 1900's toothbrush handles were made from celluloid (the first synthetic plastic) and nylon bristles have been used since 1938. Since then, every plastic toothbrush that was ever made is still in existence today, in some shape or form. Let's change that by making the switch to a bamboo toothbrush today.
