Handmade right here in Ōtautahi Christchurch by Haney from Jackelope Treasures. These dryer balls have never left the country (see note below), they are made from locally sourced wool and are completely natural.

Method:

You can use any number of dryer balls in your dryer but the magic number is 3. Dryer balls bounce around the dryer while it's running, adding air pockets between your fabrics, helping to reduce drying time and separate large items like sheets that can become tangled in knots and near impossible to dry, not so with your trusty dryer balls! Pop your dryer balls in your dryer with your next load and they can happily live in there.

Pro tip:
Playing 'find the dryer balls' may encourage kids to help putting away freshly dried laundry!

Note:
There are a lot of woollen dryer balls on the market, many of them made from New Zealand wool but ours are the only ones (that we know of) that are actually made right here in Aotearoa New Zealand. All the other brands cleverly advertise 100% New Zealand Wool, but they never say NZ Made and that is because the NZ wool is transported to places like Bangladesh and Nepal where the wool is processed into balls and returned to New Zealand for sale. The carbon footprint of these dryer balls is absolutely huge, far outweighing the energy they save by reducing drying time.
