While this container is leak resistant, it is not leak proof and care should be taken to avoid leaks. It may leak as a result of temperature change or being tossed around. For best results check that the silicone seal is seated correctly, and to avoid spills, it is best to keep the container in a lunchbox or other container rather than loose in a bag.
