Olive is a 14-year-old from Lyttelton who has created a range of Christmas greeting cards from her own water colour designs to raise funds for Fountain of Peace, a grass roots Charity which helps rural Ugandan kids.
Fountain of Peace New Zealand is all about making a difference, generating hope and transformation: especially in the lives of the most vulnerable; children who have been orphaned and abandoned.
Their work includes providing clean water, education, healthcare and sustainable projects for the whole community. This work is based in the Kyenjojo District of Western Uganda. A beautiful region, marred by extreme poverty. Unemployment, maternal mortality and malnutrition are all too common, causing thousands of children to be left orphaned or abandoned.
